"In early 2008, we hired David Bard as general contractor for a major renovation of our home. Our renovation involved a near complete demolition and reconstruction (only some of the exterior studs survived – all existing siding, roofing, drywall, electrical, plumbing and flooring were removed). We wanted an excellent craftsman who would respect the architect’s design and would provide a fair price.

Our architect, Greg Berzinsky, suggested David Bard. We visited several of his prior sites, and were very impressed with his work. But what clinched the decision was when we actually met him. From that very first meeting, it was clear that this was a man of complete integrity.

We could not be happier with the result. David and his team completed a massive renovation of our home within our desired 6 month window. As with every project of this scope, unexpected issues occasionally arose. Time after time, David chose to “make it right”, even if that required additional work or expense for his team. He was extremely fair, absorbing reasonably foreseeable costs, and giving fair options for those few things that were truly above the original project scope. The final quality was excellent – and the team was a pleasure to work with. The end result is beautiful, functional, and built to last.
